On the schedule this week: the Social Good Summit, hosted by UN Foundation, 92Y, and Mashable (and a pretty mounting pile of other work, but that’s the most exciting part).
I’ll be camped out in the Digital Media Lounge with other bloggers and reporters giving you a play by play of the presentations and some of the side conversations happening about community building around global issues. The agenda is drool-worthy, including everyone from CEOs to technical experts to government officials to African first ladies, and I’d be hard pressed to pick a favorite session or one that I’m looking forward to most.
What you can do if you want to stay in the loop about the Summit and other related things happening around UN Week is to watch the #socialgood hashtag on twitter, follow me and other bloggers tweeting about the summit, and keep your eye on the USAID Impact Blog, MCHIP Blog and this site for daily posts about highlights and emerging questions on which I would love to hear your insight.
It’s been a big month for NYC already, with the 10 year anniversary of 9/11, and I hope that this week will give the global community a chance to come together in solidarity making decisions and commitments to make our world a better place.
